Nascent New Thought is firmly entrenched in Bible metaphysics. The bible is treasured by millions of people around the globe. It is a crucial part of New Thought and essential to the New Thought practitioner, yet it's importance is found within the metaphysical teachings that are couched within the words. We will explore the old testament, what it reveals to the Spiritual Seeker and how it can support the path of enlightenment.
Students are expected to be able to use New Testament as a vehicle for teaching New Thought and provide thoughtful insights which support seekers and persuasive insights that support the UDHR. Althought students will be given some of the metaphysical meanings behind stories of the Bible, the goal is for practitioners to obtain the skills and tools to interpret the Bible metaphysically for themselves.
The NewTestament carries on from the old and brings with it the birth of Jesus and his journey, his ministry and the writings of his deciples, followers of his way of being on the earth.
Matthew 3;16, 4; It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
From the old to the New Testament we see within the written word the connection, from creation in Genisis where we see the words GOD SAID, to the reavelation from the mouth of Jesus in Matthew we begin to follow the footsteps laid before us. We go in understanding from the old to the new.
John 1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God.
Here is where we pause for a moment and discuss these words, if in the beginning God Said, , then we are to see what that Jesus speaks of every WORD, it becomes clear in the Mind that there is something here we need to pay close attention to.
You will explore these teachings over a 12 or 24 week period. The length of the course is decided at the outset of the course by the class with guidance from the instructors. 24 weeks gives you more time, 12 weeks less time.
